“We Are All Children of Abraham”
A short video from a gathering for a Somaliland delegation captures the central message of the Abrahamic Movement: peace is built through relationships among people.
In a courtyard in Bat Hefer, a simple sentence brought an evening of hospitality and diplomacy into focus: “We are all children of Abraham.” The words were delivered by Ora Fishman, director of the Israel–Somaliland Friendship Association of the Abrahamic Movement, during an event held for a Somaliland delegation.
The gathering was hosted by the Abrahamic Movement—Jews and Arabs together—as part of its “Building a Shared Future” initiative. Tom Wegner’s post presents the moment as a reminder that shared ancestry and faith can become a starting point for practical human cooperation.

The movement’s stated approach is to turn Abrahamic identity into people-to-people networks, dialogue, and cooperation across religious and national boundaries.
The event illustrates how a brief personal exchange can carry a broader message: shared heritage does not erase difference, but it can create a language for meeting across it.
