Why Faith and Freedom Matters
Faith and Freedom News (FFN) is a project of ETHAN — Engagement to Halt Antisemitism and Negationism — a media platform dedicated to safeguarding religious freedom, upholding human rights, and fostering interfaith harmony. At a time when misinformation and bias threaten to divide communities, FFN stands as a beacon of truth, justice, and peace.
Millions of people across the globe continue to suffer under religious persecution. Their places of worship are targeted, their identities criminalized, and their voices systematically silenced. In many regions, religious minorities face discrimination, forced displacement, violence, and legal exclusion simply for practicing their faith. Defending religious freedom is therefore not only a moral imperative but a cornerstone of human dignity and democratic values.
Faith and Freedom News is committed to breaking the silence surrounding these injustices, exposing oppression wherever it exists, and standing firmly with communities whose rights are denied. Our mission is rooted in the belief that freedom of belief is universal and indivisible, regardless of geography, creed, or political system.

Manel Msalmi
Manel Msalmi is a researcher and expert in international politics, specializing in Middle Eastern issues, gender equality, and the fight against extremism.
She is the President of the European Association for the Defence of Minorities, Co-President of ETHAN, Editor-in-Chief of Faith and Freedom News, and has founded numerous additional initiatives for human rights and women’s leadership.
An author and frequent speaker for the UN, the EU, and European universities, she has received numerous awards for her work combating antisemitism and hate speech, and for promoting peace.
