HYDERABAD/BESHAM — Serious questions have been raised over the custody of original property registries and legal documents belonging to FGA Pakistan, as well as alleged property transfers and the reported sale of Besham Hospital.

In a written communication addressed to Laila Gronning Joseph, Tamoor Sandhu, as Principal/Assistant Managing Director, has called for an independent examination of FGA Pakistan’s property records, institutional documents and financial transactions.

Concerns Over Original Property Documents

Sandhu says he is concerned that MD Nathenial Joseph continues to possess original registries, title documents and other legal records relating to FGA Pakistan. He questions the basis on which those documents remain under individual control and asks that they be returned to the lawful institutional custodian of FGA Pakistan.

The letter further alleges that some properties associated with FGA Pakistan’s welfare work were acquired, donated or funded with support from Norwegian and Swedish churches and donor agencies, including PYM, NORAD, PMU and SIDA. Sandhu argues that assets provided for institutional and charitable purposes should remain protected for the benefit of the organization and its beneficiaries.

Alleged Property Transfers Under Scrutiny

A central concern raised in the letter involves the alleged transfer of several properties in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa into the personal name of MD Nathenial Joseph. Sandhu says the matter should be checked against title records, registry documents, original donation records and institutional approvals.

He argues that, if any property donated for FGA Pakistan’s welfare work was transferred without lawful authority, the circumstances would warrant a formal review of institutional ownership, fiduciary responsibility and accountability.

Power of Attorney and 2022 Reorganization

Sandhu says MD Nathenial Joseph invited him to Pakistan in 2022 and granted him a Power of Attorney to assist with reorganizing welfare projects. According to Sandhu, he understood that the assignment was intended to restore and strengthen projects that had deteriorated following the administration of MD Brigitta Almeby.

He says that during his subsequent involvement he found that some explanations provided to him did not, in his assessment, correspond with available records, evidence and witness statements. Sandhu states that he formally disassociated himself from Joseph’s leadership in March 2026 and decided to pursue what he described as principles of truth, accountability, stewardship and justice.

Questions Surrounding Besham Hospital Sale

The letter also raises allegations concerning the sale of Besham Hospital. Sandhu refers to a statement attributed to the buyer, Amanullah Khan, and says it raises questions about MD Nathenial Joseph’s alleged involvement in the transaction.

According to Sandhu’s account, approximately PKR 2.25 crore (PKR 22.5 million) was allegedly received by MD Nathenial Joseph in connection with the sale. Sandhu says the amount and the circumstances of the transaction should be verified through the sale agreement, payment records, witness statements and relevant court documents.

He further requests that any funds determined to belong to FGA Pakistan be properly accounted for and, where appropriate, returned to the institution.

Call for Institutional and Legal Review

Sandhu says evidence and witness statements concerning the matters have been presented before courts and argues that the issues should be examined on the basis of documentary evidence, financial records and sworn testimony rather than personal claims or assumptions.

His requests include the return of original FGA Pakistan registries, title documents, legal records, property papers and official institutional records; a complete inventory of properties and documents under control; and an accounting of funds allegedly received from the Besham Hospital transaction.

He also calls for all alleged property transfers involving FGA Pakistan’s donated assets in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to be reviewed against original donation records, title documents, registry records and institutional approvals.

Accountability and Donor Trust

The letter emphasizes that properties and assets entrusted to FGA Pakistan’s welfare ministry should be protected from unauthorized disposal or personal control. Sandhu says his concerns are not motivated by personal disagreement but by a desire for the facts to be established through evidence, witnesses, court records, land records and financial documentation.

Sandhu ultimately asks Laila Gronning Joseph to intervene and seek the return of institutional documents and belongings to FGA Pakistan’s lawful custodian, request a complete accounting of any proceeds connected to the Besham Hospital transaction, including the alleged PKR 2.25 crore, and support a proper legal and institutional review of properties allegedly transferred into an individual’s name.
