In a sweeping move signaling a decisive shift in federal policy, the Department of Justice has released a 200-page report detailing systemic findings of anti-Christian bias across the federal government — and laying out an aggressive roadmap for reform. The report, produced in accordance with Executive Order 14202, was compiled by a Task Force drawing on findings from 17 federal agencies and is backed by over 1,100 footnotes and more than 300 pages of exhibits.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who chairs the Task Force, issued a stark declaration alongside the report’s release: “No American should live in fear that the federal government will punish them for their faith. The Department of Justice will continue to expose bad actors who target Christians and work tirelessly to restore religious liberty for all Americans of faith.”

17 Federal Agencies
1,100+ Footnotes
300+ Pages of Exhibits

The report documents a broad spectrum of religious freedom violations, encompassing conscience rights, the Johnson Amendment, fines levied against Christian universities, girls’ sports policies, vaccine mandates, and the exclusion of Christians from publicly funded programs. Critically, the report does not confine itself to federal conduct — it also highlights discrimination at the state and local level and within the private sector, painting a comprehensive picture of the landscape American believers navigate today.

“No American should live in fear that the federal government will punish them for their faith.”

In Spokane, Pilgrim Slavic Baptist Church pastor Alex Kaprian captured the emotional weight of the moment: “Originally we were religious refugees who survived Soviet persecution for our Christian faith. We are grateful to enjoy religious freedom in the United States and continue singing the same Christian hymns.”

Meanwhile in Denver, RFAC Chairman Bill Benac reflected on the unfinished work of American liberty: acknowledging that the nation remains a “work in progress,” he urged renewed commitment to civility, compromise, and shared responsibility as the bedrock of a more unified future.

“Trust is not built by clever arguments or carefully curated social media posts, but by time that we spend together, by our presence, by consistency, by shared experiences.”
— Pastor Micah Fries, Director, Multi-Faith Neighbors Network
