RAWALPINDI: The Christian Study Centre (CSC), Rawalpindi, will host the 5th National Ecumenical Workshop for Theologically Trained Women in Pakistan from October 23 to 25, 2026, bringing together women theologians, church leaders, and advocates from across the country to discuss justice, leadership, and child protection.

Organized by the Ecumenical Forum for Theologically Trained Women in Pakistan under the Department of Doing Theology at CSC, the three-day workshop will be held at the Christian Study Centre, located on Murree Road, Rawalpindi.

From Silence to Solidarity

The theme of this year’s gathering is “From Silence to Solidarity: Women Leading Transformative Action for Justice and Child Protection.” The workshop aims to provide a platform for theological reflection, leadership development, and collective action on issues affecting women, children, and vulnerable communities in Pakistan.

According to the organizers, participants will arrive on Friday, October 23, while the workshop will conclude on Sunday, October 25. The event is expected to attract theologians, church workers, academics, and community leaders from various Christian denominations across Pakistan.

The workshop is being organized by the Rev. Dr. Khushnud Azariah, a prominent theologian and advocate for women’s leadership within the church and society. Through the Ecumenical Forum, she has played a key role in promoting theological education, ecumenical dialogue, and women’s empowerment in Pakistan.

Registration and Logistics

Registration for participants from Rawalpindi and Islamabad has been set at Rs600 for early-bird registration and Rs800 for regular registration. For participants traveling from other cities, the early-bird fee is Rs1,000, while the regular registration fee is Rs1,500.

Organizers have announced that all meals will be provided free of charge during the workshop. Limited on-site accommodation will also be available for out-of-town participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, one-way economy-class train or Daewoo bus fares will be reimbursed to participants traveling from outside Rawalpindi and Islamabad upon submission of valid tickets or receipts.
