As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia marked its National Day, the American Muslim & Multifaith Women’s Empowerment Council (AMMWEC) — led by Dr. Anila Ali — issued a public message of congratulations to the Saudi government and people, offering prayers for the country’s leadership and wishing it continued peace, security and prosperity.

In a statement shared on its social channels, AMMWEC congratulated “the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi people on this proud national occasion,” extending its greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

The group framed its message in explicitly religious terms, noting the place the Kingdom holds for Muslims worldwide as home to Islam’s two holiest sites, Mecca and Medina.

Mohammed bin Salman holds the posts of Crown Prince and Prime Minister, roles that place him at the center of the Kingdom’s day-to-day governance.
