As the global advocacy organization for the Jewish people, the American Jewish Committee has long built trusted partnerships with leaders around the world to help advance a more secure future for the Jewish people, Israel, and the world. This week’s dispatch reflects an organization operating at full stride — signing new agreements in the Gulf, launching a hemispheric diplomatic initiative, forging communal partnerships in Europe, and equipping American society with new tools to confront antisemitism at home.

New partnership to advance interfaith dialogue in the Middle East

AJC and Emirates Scholar Center sign landmark cooperation agreement

On the sidelines of the International Dialogue of Civilizations and Tolerance Conference 2026 — of which AJC was a main partner — AJC signed a new partnership agreement with the Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies to expand interfaith dialogue and cooperation across the Middle East. The initiative is implemented through AJC’s Center for a New Middle East and AJC Abu Dhabi: The Sidney Lerner Center for Arab-Jewish Understanding, combining the Emirates Scholar Center’s academic expertise with AJC’s extensive regional relationships built over more than 70 years.

Why it matters

At this critical moment for the region and the world, the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing stability, prosperity, and a more interconnected future grounded in understanding rather than conflict.

Advancing Holocaust education across the Middle East and North Africa

AJC, together with the American Sephardi Federation and Association Mimouna, convened a landmark gathering in Morocco in April, bringing together educators from across the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond to strengthen Holocaust and genocide education. At a time of widespread antisemitism and misinformation, the initiative tackled gaps in historical understanding and fostered Muslim-Jewish dialogue as a critical tool to counter hate and build a more tolerant and informed future across the region.

The Isaac Accords: a new framework for Israel-Latin America ties

AJC Global Forum 2026  •  Latin America

Global Partners of the Isaac Accords launched by CEO Ted Deutch

At AJC Global Forum 2026, AJC CEO Ted Deutch announced the launch of the Global Partners of the Isaac Accords, a new initiative designed to engage Jewish communities, civil society leaders, and policymakers — particularly across Latin America — through AJC’s Arthur and Rochelle Belfer Institute for Latino and Latin American Affairs (BILLA) in support of a framework of nations aligned with both the United States and Israel.

Why it matters

The Isaac Accords, inspired by the Abraham Accords, aim to deepen cooperation among nations rooted in shared democratic values and a commitment to peace and prosperity — expanding economic, technological, and diplomatic collaboration while strengthening connections between Israel and partners across the Western Hemisphere. Latin America has long been a critical partner in Israel’s history, from supporting its founding at the United Nations to advancing cooperation in innovation, agriculture, and security today.

Forging partnership to combat rising antisemitism in Ireland

AJC and Ireland’s Jewish Representative Council announce formal partnership

AJC and the Jewish Representative Council of Ireland (JRCI) announced a formal partnership to combat rising antisemitism in Ireland at AJC Global Forum 2026. The agreement — AJC’s 43rd international Jewish community partnership — builds on years of collaboration, including joint advocacy with Irish officials and coordinated efforts to counter anti-Jewish and anti-Zionist initiatives, such as the proposed renaming of Dublin’s Herzog Park, which helped spark a broader national conversation about historical memory and Jewish life in Ireland.

Why it matters

This agreement further integrates Ireland’s Jewish community into AJC’s global network, which will strengthen coordination, amplify shared advocacy, and enable the exchange of best practices across borders — ensuring a more effective response to the challenges Jewish communities face worldwide.

At a time when the Irish Jewish community is facing rising antisemitism and increasingly complex public discourse around Israel, AJC and JRCI are committed to shaping a future in which Jewish life is not only protected but thriving. Ted Deutch, AJC CEO

AJC CEO unveils the Combating Antisemitism Playbook

AJC CEO Ted Deutch recently unveiled the Combating Antisemitism Playbook — a first-of-its-kind framework designed to equip leaders across society with the tools to understand, respond to, and prevent antisemitism. Developed through consultation with more than 60 experts spanning government, law enforcement, education, technology, and civil society, the playbook provides tailored, practical recommendations for 13 different sectors across society.

Why it matters

Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, the Combating Antisemitism Playbook represents a fundamental shift in strategy — moving beyond past approaches to meet today’s rapidly evolving challenges with coordinated, sector-specific action grounded in real-world experience.

The Jewish community and our allies have been asking for a proactive, visionary effort to not only scale the fight against antisemitism, but to also address it in all its contemporary forms. AJC’s Combating Antisemitism Playbook delivers exactly that. Ted Deutch, AJC CEO

Bipartisan legislation to protect Jewish communities

In a major bipartisan step to confront rising antisemitism, lawmakers introduced the AJC-backed Jewish American Security Act in both the Senate, led by Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and James Lankford (R-OK), and the House, led by Representatives Dan Goldman (D-NY) and Mike Lawler (R-NY). Informed by years of AJC advocacy, the legislation takes a comprehensive approach to addressing antisemitism across society, including strengthening protections for Jewish students, expanding security funding for synagogues and community institutions, and increasing accountability for online hate.

Cardinal Dolan honored for decades of fostering Catholic-Jewish relations

AJC presented Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop Emeritus of New York, with the Nostra Aetate at Sixty Award, recognizing his decades of steadfast partnership and visionary leadership in Catholic-Jewish relations. Cardinal Dolan has also been an unwavering voice against antisemitism, including his visible and ongoing support for the Jewish community following the October 7 massacre.

AJC BRIDGE Summit connects Middle East and U.S. leaders in Miami

At the BRIDGE-Miami Summit during Israel Tech Week, AJC hosted business leaders from Israel, the Arab world, and the United States to strengthen economic ties and advance regional integration. As Middle East dynamics rapidly evolve, the summit underscored how economic collaboration can drive stability, expand partnerships, and build a more interconnected and prosperous region.

Taking action against antisemitic rhetoric online

AJC is urging lawmakers to condemn hateful rhetoric from prominent online figures by supporting H.Res.1239, introduced by Representatives Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) and Mike Lawler (R-NY). The resolution calls on Congress to send a clear message that antisemitism has no place in America.
