Bigwil International has confirmed a new leadership appointment intended to strengthen its humanitarian, diplomatic, and development presence across several regions of the world. The organization, which operates under the umbrella of the Bigwil International Community of CEOs and Diplomatic Forum (BICCDF‑Africa), described the move as part of a broader push to reinforce its global footprint.

At the center of the announcement is the appointment of Khurram Ali Raza as Country Director of Bigwil Welfare International, Pakistan. Organizers called the appointment a landmark step for the group’s presence in South Asia, positioning Pakistan as a focal point for the organization’s welfare and diplomatic outreach in the region.

According to the announcement, the appointment reflects a deliberate expansion strategy rather than a routine staffing update — one aimed at deepening coordination between local welfare initiatives and the international network of business and diplomatic leaders that BICCDF‑Africa represents.

As Country Director, Raza is expected to oversee the coordination of welfare programming and represent the organization in engagements with local partners, community stakeholders, and allied diplomatic bodies operating in Pakistan. The role sits within Bigwil’s wider push to align country-level operations with its international humanitarian agenda.

The appointment arrives as Bigwil International signals further leadership announcements across other regions, part of what the organization frames as a coordinated effort to widen its reach heading into the next phase of its global programming. Raza brings more than twenty years of progressive experience across Pakistan’s financial services sector to the role, with a background concentrated in credit risk governance, mortgage and legal documentation, regulatory compliance, and corporate insurance sales. Much of that career was built at Standard Chartered Bank, where he spent over nine years rising through Credit Risk Control functions, including a stint as Country Secretary liaising with the bank’s Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur regional hubs.

He currently serves as Assistant General Manager at The United Insurance Company of Pakistan Limited, leading corporate insurance sales strategy and client portfolio management, and holds a concurrent role as Director at Skylark Engineering, a water purification venture, where he oversees business development and project financing. Earlier in his career he held credit risk and documentation roles at The Bank of Punjab and led corporate life insurance sales at Adamjee Life Assurance.
