Regulators ordered to freeze assets and trace all financial ties within 24 hours under Cabinet Resolution No. 63 of 2026 — all listed individuals hold Lebanese nationality.
Under the resolution, all regulatory bodies are obligated to restrict any financial or commercial relations or transactions linked to the listed names — and to implement freezing decisions within a period not exceeding 24 hours.
The United Arab Emirates has added 16 individuals and 5 entities to its local terrorism list due to their links to Hezbollah in Lebanon, pursuant to Cabinet Resolution No. (63) of 2026 regarding the update of the list of terrorist persons and organizations, in accordance with the legislation and laws in force in the country.
This decision comes as part of the UAE’s continued efforts to strengthen international cooperation in combating terrorism financing, by intensifying regional and international coordination to target networks supporting terrorist activities and disrupting their direct and indirect funding sources.
“The resolution underscores the UAE’s firm approach in confronting terrorism and extremism and drying up their financial sources, within the framework of the country’s commitment to protecting security and stability.”
The UAE continues its efforts to combat extremism and terrorism through an integrated approach that encompasses security and intellectual aspects, alongside enhancing oversight of suspicious financial flows and curbing illicit cross-border financing activities.
The UAE’s integrated counterterrorism strategy spans both security and intellectual dimensions, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to regional stability and its role as a financial hub governed by rigorous compliance frameworks. The designations signal that Abu Dhabi views disruption of terrorism financing networks — particularly those with Hezbollah links — as a pillar of national and regional security architecture.
