Abuja, Nigeria — September 11, 2026. The Abrahamic Movement, Nigeria Chapter, today declared, in a statement issued from Lagos, its solidarity with the State of Israel and the Jewish people.

In the official communication, National Chairperson Amb. Chimbo Obieze said the Movement, rooted in the covenant of Abraham, stands for the unity of all children of Abraham — Jew, Christian, and Muslim.

The Movement noted the significance of the Feast of Trumpets, observed this season, as a time of remembrance and renewal, and used the occasion to call for peace in Jerusalem and continued dialogue across the Abrahamic faiths.

The Lagos declaration went further, framing Nigeria’s own religious diversity as an asset to interfaith peacebuilding rather than a source of division. The Chapter argued that a nation home to large Christian and Muslim populations, alongside smaller Jewish and traditional communities, has a distinct role to play in modeling coexistence for the wider region.
