A Historic First: Israeli Author’s “The Abrahamic Revolution” Published in Arabic in Sweida, Syria

SWEIDA, Syria — An Israeli author’s book calling for a shared Abrahamic identity has been published in Arabic in southern Syria, a development its author calls “a historic moment.” The Abrahamic Revolution – A Middle Eastern Peace Formula, by Tom Wegner, founder and CEO of Abrahamic Movement Global, has appeared in a festive Arabic edition in Sweida.
Announcing the news in a post on X, Wegner wrote that the printing was funded by Raafat Abu Ras, who “personally hands the book out to anyone who asks him.”
Born from secret regional talks
According to Wegner, the book grew out of confidential discussions among leaders and intellectuals from across the Middle East. These began after the October 7 attacks and the outbreak of the regional war. The volume sets out what he describes as a new formula for peace and presents the founding manifesto of the Abrahamic Movement.
The manifesto calls for a shared Abrahamic identity as the foundation for “a future of peace and stability in the region and beyond.” Where, in Wegner’s words, “Western peace plans have failed,” the book offers a practical framework to dismantle ideologies of hate and build a future based on mutual respect and shared security.

The book in Sweida
Photographs of the Arabic edition show a hardback with a red cloth cover and spine bearing the Arabic title al-Thawra al-Ibrahimiyya (“The Abrahamic Revolution”), the author’s name and, on the spine, the name of Raafat Abu Ras. The cover art depicts a dove above a tree whose branches carry the symbols of Judaism, Islam and Christianity, with a gathering of robed figures at its roots; the subtitle reads “A Peace Formula in the Middle East.”
