Go Ahead and Divide Lebanon —
So Iran Can Finally Rest Easy.
Iranian Deputy FM graces the Lebanese colony with a visit, confirms Berri as proxy manager, and calls for the whole population to fight Israel. A modest counter-proposal: partition — and let each side live with its choices.
We don’t know if Saeed Khatibzadeh has left the Lebanese colony yet. Al-Modon reports he reaffirmed “the pivotal role of his proxy Nabih Berri in managing Amal and Hezbollah within the state” — and Iran’s full support behind his decisions. Very nice. And since Iran is so exhausted managing its proxies, perhaps the humane thing to do is divide the country so they can govern the part that is already theirs, and leave the rest of us alone.
The Iranian envoy is tired. We appreciate his concern for his proxies and the effort exerted by the Iranian terrorist republic to transfer money — tainted with drugs, organ trafficking, and weapons — to Hezbollah and the mercenaries settled in Lebanon. Their strenuous efforts to transport weapons and explosives above and below ground have clearly taken their toll. The least we can do is offer them a solution.
If we take Khatibzadeh’s statements at face value — his call for the Lebanese government to arm the entire population to fight Israel, Iran’s military presence on the ground, their army and weapons, and their control over the Shiites within the borders of their Lebanese colony — then given that this “Lebanon” includes Muslims from other sects, Christians, Druze, Jews, and others, it is permissible to acknowledge the challenges Iran faces in managing its proxies here. We should facilitate their operation and divide this geographical area so they can control the Shiites loyal to the Supreme Leader, implement their policies, commit suicide far away from us all.
We will rejoice to see them attack Jerusalem to liberate it — how they will wipe out the “usurping entity,” how they will ascend en masse to where the virgins of Paradise await. We will be happy with whatever makes them happy. But far from us.
- “Managing the affairs of Amal and Hezbollah within the state” = Berri is Iran’s governor, not Lebanon’s parliament speaker.
- “Unity of Shiite decision-making” = Hezbollah and Amal do not disagree. They coordinate. On Tehran’s agenda.
- “Critical issues at this sensitive stage” = The priorities of the Revolutionary Guard, not the Lebanese people.
- “Arm the entire population to fight Israel” = Lebanon must become Iran’s forward military base, regardless of what the elected government decides.
- “Iran stands behind Berri’s decisions” = The Lebanese state has a shadow government. The shadow government is in Tehran.
Let the Lebanese state deploy its national army on the border between our two republics, and let our economy, market, trade, central bank, and institutions be liberated. The partition agreement should grant asylum rights to all supporters of the duo and their partners, so they may join the Shiite Republic — and certainly, there will be understandings among them on the secondary matters.
- They: Fight Israel We will sign a sustainable and complete peace with it.
- They: Fight the New Syrian Leadership We will build the strongest, best, and most solid relations with it.
- They: Oppose America We will build the strongest defense relations and strategic partnerships with it.
- They: Hate All Arab and Gulf Countries We will fortify our relations, partnerships, and projects with them — and welcome back our people who draw sustenance from their land, goodness, and wealth.
- They: Transfer Drug Money & Arms Underground We will build a free central bank, a free economy, free institutions — liberated from a decade of systematic plunder.
“Thus, Qassem emerges from underground, and Berri sleeps with peace of mind — and most importantly of all, victory is achieved, Hussein rests, and the Mahdi returns. We will be grateful if we, too, find rest.” — Elissa El Hachem · Faith & Freedom News · MTV Lebanon
After his meeting with Youssef Raji, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi revealed what was in his heart. The man admitted to profound differences in viewpoints with the current Lebanese government regarding how to address the issues in Lebanon.
The reading between the lines is not difficult: Raji exhausted them. Nawaf Salam defied them. The Lebanese government — for perhaps the first time in a generation — is not cooperating with the proxy script. And Iran has no tools left except to double down on the Berri-Hezbollah coordination axis and call it “unity.”
Let our economy, market, trade, central bank, and institutions be liberated. Let the Lebanese Army deploy on the border between the two republics. Let each one of us choose their place and where they want to be.
The Map Is Already Drawn.
