Lahore, April 15: Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) (FCCU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan (CBFP) to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and inclusion in Pakistan, with a special focus on minority and marginalized communities.
According to the document, the partnership aims to create opportunities in incubation, capacity-building, research, and networking for aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly from underrepresented groups. FCCU, as a leading higher education institution, will extend its academic resources, expertise, and networks to support minority-led initiatives in collaboration with CBFP.
Under the agreement, both organizations will jointly organize workshops, boot camps, and training programs to enhance entrepreneurial skills. The collaboration will also facilitate internships, volunteering, and exchange opportunities for FCCU students with CBFP initiatives, helping them gain practical experience and improve their professional competencies.
The MoU further outlines plans to co-host conferences, conclaves, and networking events to highlight the contributions of minority communities to Pakistan’s development. Both parties have also agreed to explore joint fundraising efforts and the possibility of establishing seed funding or grant programs to support minority-led startups.
The agreement will remain in effect for an initial period of three years and can be terminated by either party with a 30-day written notice. However, ongoing projects and commitments initiated under the MoU will continue unless mutually decided otherwise.
Officials from both sides expressed optimism that the collaboration would play a significant role in fostering inclusive economic growth and empowering marginalized communities through entrepreneurship and innovation.
