70 Million Christians From 175 Nations to Unite in Prayer for Israel as Jerusalem Hosts Historic Gathering
The 24th Annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, set for October 4, 2026, will draw more than 500 senior Christian leaders from 50 countries in what organizers call the largest prayer gathering for Israel in history.
More than 70 million Christians from 175 nations are expected to unite in prayer for Israel on October 4, 2026, as Jerusalem hosts the 24th Annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, which organizers say will be the largest prayer gathering for Israel in history.
Hosted by Eagles’ Wings and led by its founder and president, Bishop Robert Stearns, the event will be broadcast live from the Tower of David Jerusalem Museum and will gather more than 500 senior Christian leaders from 50 countries.
A Growing International Coalition
The gathering will include official delegations from Nigeria, Kenya, and Togo, including senior government officials, the First Ladies of Nigeria and Kenya, and the King and Queen of Togo, reflecting a growing international coalition of leaders standing with Israel.
A major Latin American delegation of 175 Christian leaders, led by Rev. José Wellington Costa Jr., General Superintendent of the Brazilian Assemblies of God, will also attend. The delegation represents more than 51 million Christians across the region.
“This is far more than a prayer event. It is a global declaration that Israel is not alone. At a time when the Jewish people face extraordinary challenges, tens of millions of Christians are choosing to stand publicly with Israel, pray for her peace, and reaffirm the unbreakable bond between our people.” — Bishop Robert Stearns, Founder & President, Eagles’ Wings
Two Decades of Standing With Israel
Now in its 24th year, the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem has become the largest annual prayer initiative dedicated to Israel. Israeli leaders have also been invited to address the gathering, continuing a tradition of dialogue between Christian delegations and Israeli officials at the heart of the event.
A Biblical Call Renewed
For Christians around the world, the event is rooted in the biblical call to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” and reflects a deepening commitment to stand with Israel and the Jewish people amid rising global hostility. Faith & Freedom News will continue to follow the delegations, programming, and Israeli response as the October gathering approaches.
