OECD Social Policy Forum 2025: Shaping the Future of Social Policy and International Cooperation
Brussels– The OECD Social Policy Forum 2025 brought together ministers, policymakers, experts, and a range of stakeholders to deliberate on the future of social policy at a time when transformative change is more critical than ever. The forum’s agenda addressed some of today’s most pressing issues, including the challenges of ageing societies and the rising demand for care, the risks and opportunities posed by emerging technologies and artificial intelligence, and the imperative of a fair green transition.
Participants engaged in dynamic discussions on how to adapt social policies to evolving demographics, technological advancements, and environmental imperatives. In parallel sessions, the Development Support Committee of the OECD met to exchange ideas and forge new strategies for social development across member countries.

Notably, Tristan Azbej, State Secretary for the Aid of Persecuted Christians and the Hungary Helps Program, represented the Hungarian model at the event. Emphasizing the importance of local aid and cooperation with Christian humanitarian organizations, Azbej showcased Hungary’s sensitive yet pragmatic approach—embodied in the Hungary Helps (Magyarország Segít) initiative—to address social challenges through community-based support and international collaboration.

For those who missed the live sessions, replays of the forum are available on the OECD’s dedicated event page.
