Shalom, Salaam, Hello – In case you’re losing hope in Muslims, Christians, Jews, Druze & people of all faiths – in humanity – PLEASE DON’T! سلام שלום
We decided NOT to wait until after this horrific war, with 50 of our hostages still being held by terrorists for 629 days, before recognizing true leaders & humanitarians who have stood with/by us. We are honoring, thanking, and celebrating our brothers and sisters of all faiths, who bravely stand by our side through this darkness, hand in hand, day and night. Our 120 heroes & builders of the Middle East, & our globe, bring light, hope, truth, & wisdom. The number 120 in Judaism means life—a full life.
Drum Roll for our 54th hero, Tony Richardson (@tonyrichny). Tony is an NFL legend who played with the Cowboys, Chiefs, Vikings, & Jets. He was a 3x Pro Bowl selection & is a member of the KC Chiefs Hall of Fame. You can routinely see Tony involved in youth activities, giving back through camps & clinics. For the last several years, Tony has been part of the Minnesota Vikings trips to Washington, DC leading students to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture & the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He is a proud Ambassador for Project Max, combating racism, antisemitism, & intolerance.
In December, Tony made his first trip to Israel. He had an opportunity to visit Holy sites & bear witness to the horrors & aftermath of the 10/7 attack. Tony met with hostage families, visited the Nova Music Festival site, & Majdal Shams.
Tony said, “I’m very grateful to receive this recognition, but in a way, it pains me that there needs to be recognition for standing on the right side of history. I have made several trips with the Vikings where we bring young men & women to Washington D.C. to visit the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum & the National Museum of African American History & Culture. Both our people have experienced hate, intolerance, discrimination, & even slavery. We need to work closely together to build bridges. Education is the key to fighting discrimination. It’s one of the reasons I made my trip to Israel. I needed to see for myself what happened on 10/7 & what the Israeli & Jewish people have been through. The rise of antisemitism should offend all of us just like a rise in racism would. I want people to use their voice to shed light on the human toll of what happened on 10/7. I wear a dog tag that says, ‘Bring them home now.’ I was so struck by the resilience of the community & its way of life. Let’s all do what we can to fight racism & antisemitism.”
With our hearts broken, terror, missiles, & antisemitism surrounding us, our resolve to Live, Love, & Build a better future is resolute. We are building a new future together, based on peace, friendship, culture, shared values, coexistence, & mutual respect.
May your light, voice, & wisdom continue to shine, heal, & inspire the world. Mabrouk مبروك, Mazel Tov מזל טוב Thank you! 120 Heroes
