Thailand’s New Cabinet Takes Royal Oath
PM Anutin Charnvirakul Leads New Administration with Promise of Early Elections

Thailand’s new Cabinet took the oath of allegiance before King Maha Vajiralongkorn on Wednesday under PM Anutin Charnvirakul’s administration, marking what he described as both a profound honor and an auspicious start.
First Cabinet Meeting
Following the royal audience, Anutin led the Cabinet’s first meeting, including distribution of responsibilities among deputy prime ministers and appointment of the PM’s secretary-general.
Parliamentary Policy Statement
The government will formally begin work and set out its policy agenda before Parliament. The policy statement is ready for parliamentary debate between Sept 20-30.
Parliament Dissolution Promise
Anutin confirmed his Cabinet will dissolve Parliament within four months as promised, with dissolution planned by end of January, cueing up snap elections in March or early April.
