Steve Witkoff, President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy, and U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee visited a Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distribution point near Rafah on Friday, celebrating the delivery of the 100 millionth meal under a U.S.–Israeli relief effort. Accompanied by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officers, they spent over five hours inspecting the site, meeting with aid workers, and witnessing firsthand how Israel’s security coordination has protected vital aid convoys from Hamas interference.
“This morning I joined @SEPeaceMissions Steve Witkoff for a visit to Gaza to learn the truth about @GHFUpdates aid sites. We received briefings from @IDF and spoke to folks on the ground. GHF delivers more than one million meals a day, an incredible feat!”

Huckabee emphasized that the GHF operation—backed by American and Israeli resources—has so far avoided looting or attacks thanks to tight security measures. “Hamas hates GHF because it gets food to people without it being looted by Hamas,” he posted. “Over 100 MILLION meals served in two months.”

“At @POTUS’s direction, @USAmbIsrael and I met yesterday with Israeli officials to discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Today, we spent over five hours inside Gaza — level setting the facts on the ground, assessing conditions, and meeting with @GHFUpdates and other agencies. The purpose of the visit was to give @POTUS a clear understanding of the humanitarian situation and help craft a plan to deliver food and medical aid to the people of Gaza.”

GHF reported distributing 1.3 million meals across three sites on Thursday, yet the United Nations warns that Hamas’s exploitation of civilian areas and its ongoing tunnel network have repeatedly disrupted broader U.N. aid efforts. By contrast, Israel’s creation of the GHF channels demonstrates how a secure, transparent model can deliver food efficiently—even amid the security threat posed by Hamas militants.
On Thursday, Witkoff and Huckabee held “productive” talks in Jerusalem with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, exploring an “all‐in” ceasefire proposal that would secure the release of all hostages in exchange for full Hamas disarmament—moving beyond Hamas’s preferred phased-release tactic that only prolongs its leverage. Netanyahu reiterated that Israel’s priority remains the safety of its civilians and the swift end to Hamas’s terror campaign.
Amid stalled indirect negotiations and grim propaganda videos showing starved Israeli hostages in Hamas tunnels, this high-profile visit underscores the stark contrast between Israel’s life‐saving relief efforts and Hamas’s calculated brutality. By reporting directly to President Trump on the reinforced GHF system, Witkoff and Huckabee are laying the groundwork for stronger U.S.–Israeli collaboration to outmaneuver Hamas’s attempts to weaponize humanitarian aid and to ensure that Gaza’s suffering is not used as its propaganda tool.
