Defending Constitutional Values
A congressional caucus dedicated to preventing the implementation of Sharia law in the United States has grown significantly since its formation in December 2025, now boasting 26 members from 17 states across the nation.
Representatives Keith Self (TX-03) and Chip Roy (TX-21) officially launched the Sharia Free America Caucus in the House of Representatives in December 2025, an initiative that has quickly gained momentum among Republican lawmakers concerned about what they describe as the incompatibility between Sharia law and the U.S. Constitution.
The caucus has earned the support of U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), who has been a vocal critic of what he characterizes as threats to American constitutional values.
Rep. Keith Self stated:
“The American way of life is under siege by radicals from a culture waging war against our Constitution and Western values. We’ve seen what happens when nations allow this infiltration: countries like France and England are on the verge of losing their identity and sovereignty.”
Rep. Chip Roy emphasized:
“America is facing a threat that directly attacks our Constitution and our Western values: the spread of Sharia law. Under Sharia law, there is no freedom of speech, religion, or women’s rights. Europe should be a wake-up call to America.”
The caucus includes notable Republican figures such as Majority Whip Tom Emmer (MN-06), who expressed support for the initiative, stating that Sharia is “completely incompatible with the American way of life and threatens the very fabric of our society.”
