WASHINGTON D.C. — After months of struggling to find strong partners for aid delivery, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) has secured a major collaborator: Samaritan’s Purse, the respected international Christian relief organization led by Rev. Franklin Graham. Together, the two groups are now ensuring that much-needed food and medical care reach Gaza’s most vulnerable families.
A Lifeline of Food and Medical Help
Since July 26, Samaritan’s Purse has sent eight relief flights carrying 169 tons of supplemental food packets into Gaza. These supplies are being distributed through GHF’s four secure hubs, established across the territory. Samaritan’s Purse has also dispatched a medical team of six nurses and paramedics to provide urgent first-aid treatment at these sites, giving residents immediate care alongside food deliveries.
Ken Isaacs, Vice President for Programs at Samaritan’s Purse, praised the efforts:
“I visited several Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites and was impressed with how they were secured and the professionalism of the GHF staff,” Isaacs said. “They are working in a very difficult situation, and I am grateful that Samaritan’s Purse has the opportunity to collaborate with GHF. We want to help as many people as we can.”
Franklin Graham and the Samaritan’s Purse Legacy
Rev. Franklin Graham, son of world-renowned evangelist Billy Graham, has led Samaritan’s Purse since 1979, building it into one of the largest faith-based relief organizations in the world. Under his leadership, the group has operated in more than 170 countries, responding to natural disasters, famines, pandemics, and wars. From earthquake zones in Haiti to refugee camps in the Middle East, Samaritan’s Purse is known for stepping into some of the most difficult crises with both resources and compassion.
The group’s decision to join forces with GHF reflects its long-standing mission to bring practical aid and hope to people in desperate need.
The Mission of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation
The GHF, created in February 2025, is a unique partnership supported by both the United States and Israel. With $30 million in U.S. funding matched by Israel, the Foundation was designed to ensure direct and secure food distribution in Gaza. Managed by experienced U.S. security contractors and relief coordinators, the initiative has built four highly secure hubs that guarantee aid reaches civilians safely and efficiently.
High-level supporters, including U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and former Ambassador Mike Huckabee, have praised GHF’s work. Huckabee recently noted that the foundation has distributed over 100 million meals in just two months — a scale of impact unmatched by any other group currently operating in Gaza.
A Model for Effective Aid
The arrival of Samaritan’s Purse strengthens GHF’s capacity and credibility. For months, GHF had been searching for international partners willing to join its innovative distribution model. Samaritan’s Purse’s participation marks a turning point, proving that faith-based and government-supported initiatives can successfully collaborate for humanitarian good.
Supporters argue that in a time when traditional systems have been paralyzed, GHF has provided a lifeline. Its secure, direct-to-community model ensures that food and medicine go exactly where they are needed — to families caught in the middle of conflict.
Looking Ahead
As Gaza’s humanitarian needs continue to grow, the GHF-Samaritan’s Purse partnership offers a hopeful path forward. Combining GHF’s secure infrastructure with Samaritan’s Purse’s international experience and reputation for compassionate service, the collaboration is seen as one of the most effective avenues for relief delivery in the region today.
In the words of Rev. Franklin Graham:
“When people are suffering, we must step forward. We are grateful for the opportunity to work with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation to bring food and medical aid to those in great need.”
