Eighth Congress of World and Traditional Religions Addresses Global Conflicts
Condemnation of Violence
Religious leaders from around the world gathered in Kazakhstan’s capital to address the mounting conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine. The congress brought together representatives from Catholicism, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Orthodox Christianity, Shintoism, and other major faiths to condemn violence and call for peace.

Post-Secular Era & Global Challenges
President Tokayev emphasized that we are entering a “post-secular era” where religion will play a vital role in addressing global challenges including climate change, inequality, and artificial intelligence ethics.

🏛️ Protecting Sacred Heritage
A special focus was placed on protecting religious sites from vandalism, targeted attacks, and neglect. With ongoing conflicts threatening not only lives but also religious heritage, leaders stressed the urgent need for coordinated action.
