
Liverpool, May 2, 2025 –The community comes together to honor the life of Parveen Saleem, a passionate advocate for minority rights whose unwavering faith and service touched countless lives. Drawing on 2 Timothy 4:7—“I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”—friends, family, and civic leaders will pay tribute to her enduring legacy at funeral services in Liverpool.
Parveen Saleem’s funeral will be held at Christ Church (157 Hartnup St, Liverpool, L5 TUW) on Thursday, May 8 at 11:30 AM, followed by a Memorial Mass on Saturday, May 10 from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Ample parking is available opposite Anfield Stadium. Attendees are asked to RSVP in advance to Saleem Khokhar at 07476 766606 or Nasir Mehmood at 07384 780980.
Parveen Saleem was renowned for her tireless work in support of underrepresented communities. She championed education initiatives, interfaith dialogue, and social services that bridged divides across Liverpool’s diverse neighborhoods.
“My deepest condolences on the passing of Parveen Saleem,” said Pakistan Minority Leader Khalid Gill. “Her unwavering commitment to peace, justice, and minority rights set a powerful example for us all, and her legacy will continue to inspire future generations.”
The Memorial Mass at Christ Church will feature reflections from religious and civic speakers, musical tributes, and a reception to share memories.
