Muslim World League Condemns Treacherous Iranian Aggression Against Saudi Arabia and the Region
The MWL’s Secretary-General calls the ongoing Iranian strikes an act of terrorism and corruption that violates religious values, international law, and the sanctity of the holy month — while praising Saudi Arabia’s measured and protective response.
The Muslim World League (MWL) has issued a forceful condemnation of what it describes as ongoing treacherous and indiscriminate Iranian aggression against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries of the region.
In a formal statement released by the MWL General Secretariat, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, denounced what he termed blatant Iranian aggression against peaceful neighboring nations.
“This aggression constitutes terrorism and corruption on earth, as it violates all religious values, as well as international and humanitarian laws and norms, in addition to breaching bilateral treaties and the principles of good neighborliness.”— H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General, Muslim World League
Al-Issa further condemned what he characterized as a deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian sites, noting that the actions “spread fear among innocent people during this holy month” — a reference to the attacks occurring during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
- Terrorism and corruption on earth in violation of Islamic religious values
- Breach of international law and humanitarian norms
- Violation of bilateral treaties between neighboring states
- Violation of the principles of good neighborliness
- Deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure
- Spreading fear among innocent peoples during the holy month
Speaking on behalf of the MWL’s councils, bodies, global assemblies, and all Muslim peoples under its umbrella, His Excellency praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the affected Arab states for their wise and measured handling of what he called “this dangerous Iranian escalation.”
The MWL commended their commitment to protecting their territories and citizens, preserving regional security and stability, and taking deliberate steps to prevent the expansion of war and its broader repercussions across the region.
