Justine Zwerling the founder of the Jewish Women’s Business Network, Co-founder Gulf Israel Women Forum and a prominent public speaker on Abraham Accords 2.0, shared a heartfelt Eid Mubarak greeting on her social media account – “Eid Mubarak – Blessed Festival – عِيد مُبَارَك.” In her post, she expressed deep gratitude for the warm embrace of the Jewish community at UJIA and a local synagogue, underscoring the power of love and unity across faiths.
Zwerling proudly announced her collaboration with her dear friend and inspirational voice, Loay Alshareef, a celebrated linguist based in Abu Dhabi. Born and raised in Saudi Arabia within a deeply religious Muslim environment, Loay’s early perceptions of Jews and Israel were shaped by his surroundings. However, his transformative experiences while studying in France and living with a Jewish host family enabled his views to evolve dramatically. Today, Loay is dedicated to bridging cultures through his expertise in Judeo-Arabic heritage, fostering understanding and unity between Arabs and Jews for a more peaceful future.
Their engaging conversation, titled “Unlearning Hate – A Journey to Peace,” delved into pressing issues such as the Abraham Accords and reflections on October 7th, as well as Loay’s courageous decision to speak out against terrorism, misinformation, and antisemitism. Standing in unwavering solidarity with the Jewish people, Loay delivered a powerful message:
“You are a small number, but a very precious people. Reach out to your non-Jewish friends who love and support you. So many don’t yet know how incredible you are — your warmth, kindness… and your food!”
The dialogue culminated in a moving exchange of heartfelt prayers—Loay praying in Arabic and Zwerling in Hebrew—for the safe and immediate return of hostages, an end to the ongoing war, and healing for all people across faiths. Zwerling’s post emphasized that at the end of the day, love is our superpower, a sentiment that resonated deeply with her diverse audience.
This collaboration and the message of unity and understanding come at a time when building bridges between cultures is more critical than ever. By unlearning hate and embracing shared values, Zwerling and Alshareef are setting an example of interfaith dialogue and mutual support that transcends historical divides.
