Bangkok, July 30, 2025 — Orna Sagiv, Ambassador of Israel to Thailand, shared an optimistic outlook for bilateral tech collaboration following her visit to WHA Tower in Bangkok. In a post on her social media accounts, Ambassador Sagiv expressed gratitude for the “warm welcome” extended by Khun Jareeporn Jarukornsakul, CEO and Group Chief Executive of WHA Group, and her team.
“Great exchange with Khun Jareeporn… on potential collaboration in smart logistics, energy, and digital innovation,” Ambassador Sagiv wrote. “We’ve shared tech solutions relevant to WHA’s core business and invited their team to join our future activities and visit Israel.” 🇮🇱🇹🇭
The meeting underscores growing interest between Israeli and Thai business sectors to collaborate in forward-looking industries, especially smart infrastructure and digital innovation.
Cultural Diplomacy on Hold Amid Border Tensions
In another development, the Embassy of Israel in Thailand had prepared a special tribute video to mark National Thai Language Day on July 29, aiming to celebrate the cultural and linguistic heritage of Thailand. The video was part of the embassy’s ongoing efforts to deepen people-to-people ties and highlight mutual respect for Thai traditions.
However, the embassy announced a postponement of the video release due to ongoing tensions along the Thai–Cambodian border, citing sensitivity and appropriateness in timing.
“We honor the beauty of the Thai language and will share this tribute when the moment is right,” the embassy stated.
Strengthening Ties through Innovation and Cultural Respect
Both engagements—economic and cultural—demonstrate Israel’s multi-layered diplomacy in Thailand, balancing high-tech collaboration with cultural outreach and regional awareness.
Tomer Shpilman, Commercial & Investment Counselor, Head of the Economic and Trade Mission to Thailand at Ministry of Economy and Industry, Israel, also emphasized the importance of building mutual trust through both economic innovation and cultural respect, reflecting Israel’s commitment to long-term partnership with the Thai people.
