
Bangkok, Thailand – July 31, 2025 – In a significant diplomatic engagement, H.E. Ms. Orna Sagiv, Ambassador of Israel to Thailand, accompanied by Mr. Eli Sneh, Consul at the Embassy of Israel, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Pongkawin Jungrungruangkit, Thailand’s newly appointed Minister of Labour.
The visit was marked by Ambassador Sagiv extending warm congratulations to Minister Pongkawin on his recent appointment. The meeting, held in a spirit of mutual respect and collaboration, focused on reinforcing the robust labor cooperation between Israel and Thailand.
Both sides emphasized their shared commitment to improving the wellbeing, safety, and rights of Thai workers currently employed in Israel. Discussions included enhancing support systems and ensuring secure working conditions, particularly under the existing government-to-government (G2G) employment arrangement.


A key highlight of the meeting was the shared interest in expanding job opportunities for Thai workers in Israel, especially in the construction and industrial sectors. This development aligns with Israel’s demand for skilled labor and Thailand’s intent to secure beneficial employment for its workforce abroad.
This engagement underscores the long-standing friendship and growing economic ties between the two countries and reflects a continued commitment to ethical, transparent, and mutually beneficial labor migration policies.
