The foreign ministers of eight nations released a unified statement on Monday praising President Trump’s efforts to bring an end to the devastating conflict in Gaza. The statement emphasized their confidence in Trump’s leadership and ability to navigate a path toward lasting peace in the region.

- Preventing displacement of Palestinians

Netanyahu Celebrates Diplomatic Victory
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed optimism following his White House meeting with President Trump, where Israel formally accepted the peace proposal. In a video posted to social media, Netanyahu highlighted what he viewed as a significant achievement.
Netanyahu reportedly secured important last-minute modifications to the proposal regarding the scope and timeline of IDF withdrawal from Gaza, as well as provisions concerning Hamas disarmament. These changes were seen as crucial concessions for Israeli domestic politics.
Trump’s 20-Point Comprehensive Plan
The White House released Trump’s detailed “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict” during a joint press conference with Netanyahu. The plan includes immediate ceasefire provisions, hostage release mechanisms, humanitarian aid guarantees, and a long-term vision for Gaza’s governance and economic development.
Central to the proposal is the release of all Israeli hostages within 72 hours of Israel’s public acceptance, followed by Israel releasing 250 life-sentence prisoners and 1,700 Gazans detained after October 7, 2023. The plan also establishes a “Board of Peace” chaired by Trump himself, with Former Prime Minister Tony Blair among its members, to oversee Gaza’s reconstruction and governance transition.
European and Middle Eastern Support
Beyond the eight signatory nations, European and other Middle Eastern leaders have also welcomed the peace initiative. President Trump has issued stern warnings to Hamas to accept the proposal, emphasizing that the international community stands united in support of the framework.
The plan proposes establishing an International Stabilization Force to deploy in Gaza, working alongside vetted Palestinian police forces and consulting with Jordan and Egypt, who have extensive regional security experience.
