The event, held in collaboration with the local community and organized by the Hungary Helps Program – Magyarország segít team, provided a platform for crucial discussions on global Christian persecution and the impactful work of the Norbert Katus Program.
Secretary Azbej shared his reflections on the forum via his social media channels, expressing gratitude for the invitation extended by his “friend Hungary Helps” and the Mayor of Horinka, László, as well as the warm reception from the people of Sülysáp. “There was a meaningful and honest dialogue,” Azbej remarked, highlighting the genuine interest and compassionate spirit evident within the community. He underscored the profound connection between faith and action, stating, “it was a pleasure to be in a community where there is a genuine interest for those in need and where it is important to link faith and help.”

The core philosophy of the Hungary Helps Program, which champions the principle of providing aid directly where it is most needed, resonated strongly throughout the discussions. “We believe that help should be taken where there is trouble,” Secretary Azbej affirmed, extending his thanks to the attendees for their collaborative spirit in furthering this vital mission. The gathering in Sülysáp served as a powerful reminder of the shared commitment to supporting vulnerable communities globally.

This gathering in Sülysáp exemplifies the ongoing dedication of the Hungarian government, through the Hungary Helps Program, to advocate for and support persecuted Christians. It underscores the belief that active dialogue and community engagement are essential in building a more inclusive and compassionate world where all individuals, regardless of their faith, can live free from fear and persecution.
