Hungarian State Secretary Joins Christian Democratic Institute
Tristan Azbej appointed to board of trustees of new European think tank
In a Facebook post, Azbej expressed his enthusiasm about joining the think tank, describing the organization’s mission as the “spiritual home” he had been searching for in his socio-political journey.
The Christian Democratic Institute represents a growing movement aimed at strengthening Christian values in European public discourse. According to Azbej, the organization is dedicated to ensuring that Christian principles maintain “a strong and visible place in the public life of Europe and around the world.”
Azbej’s appointment comes at a crucial time for European politics, as Christian democratic movements seek to reassert their influence across the continent. His experience in international humanitarian work and religious freedom advocacy positions him as a valuable addition to the CDI’s leadership structure.
The State Secretary emphasized his philosophical conviction that sustainable peace and security can only be achieved through Christian democratic foundations. “I am convinced that peace, security, and community can only be built on the foundations of Christian democracy,” he stated in his announcement.
This development signals Hungary’s continued commitment to promoting Christian values on the international stage, building on the country’s existing initiatives to support persecuted religious communities globally.
The CDI’s expanding influence, now bolstered by Azbej’s expertise, is expected to play an increasingly important role in shaping European policy discussions around religious freedom, traditional values, and Christian heritage preservation.
