We decided NOT to wait until after this horrific war, with 58 of our hostages still being held by terrorists for 600 days, before recognizing true leaders & unsung heroes, who stand by us. We are honoring, thanking, and celebrating our brothers and sisters of all faiths who bravely stand by our side through this darkness, hand in hand, day and night, and bring light.

Our 120 heroes and heroines, builders of the Middle East and our Globe, bring light, hope, truth, and wisdom. The number 120 in Judaism means life—a full life. It can be lonely when you feel alone, isolated, and attacked at every corner, but we are not alone.

We honor one of those lights of wisdom: Our 49th Hero, His Highness H.H. UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah Bin Zayed; father and son of the founding leader of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He was a signatory of the Abraham Accords on behalf of the United Arab Emirates

His wise words: “The Hostage release must come first in the Gaza roadmap. First, getting the hostages out. We need calm in Gaza, and we need an authority that is not Hamas that controls Gaza. Only after these conditions are met can long-term reconstruction and stability take place.”

The United Arab Emirates has delivered over 42% of all international aid to Gaza in the past two years.

His name means – In Arabic, “Abdullah” (عبد الله) means “servant of God” or “God’s servant” Abdiel (Hebrew: עֲבְדִּיאֵל “Servant of El”)
