We decided not to wait until after this horrific war, with 50 of our hostages still being held by terrorists for 647 days, before recognizing true leaders & unsung heroes. We are honoring, thanking, and celebrating our brothers and sisters of all faiths, who bravely stand by our side through this darkness, hand in hand, day and night. Our 120 heroes and builders of the Middle East, and our Globe, bring light, hope, truth, & wisdom. The number 120 in Judaism means life—a full life.
Drum Roll for our 58th Hero, Mubin Shaikh an internationally recognized expert in countering extremism and terrorism. The battle is a personal one for him in that he was himself was an extremist. He deradicalized after studying Arabic and Islamic Studies in the Middle East. Today he works with the renowned U.S.-based NGO, Parents4Peace.org, he intervenes directly with extremists to bring them back to the light. He believes Antisemitism is as pernicious as Islamophobia, as is anti-Christian bias.
The meaning of his name Mubin, مبين, is clear, distinct, eloquent, or manifest.
His wise words:” The fact that even the former Dean of Shariah and Islamic Law at the Islamic University of Gaza saw fit to issue a fatwa against Hamas should tell you how far from the religion they are. Islam explicitly forbids killing children, women, the elderly, burning occupied buildings, and so on – all things that Hamas did on October 7. For this reason, God humiliated Hamas and its benefactors in Iran, who have exploited the Palestinians as canon fodder for their genocidal ambitions.
Most of all, people should know that the HaMaschiach of the Jewish people is none other than the Imam Mahdi of Islam. We pray to see his appearance in our time so we can get back to the way of peace, as God intended. I call on others to pray that we see his coming in our lifetime, AAMEEN.”
