A delegation from Focus Business School (FBS), accompanied by representatives of the Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan (CBFP), descended on Lahore for a series of high-level meetings with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). The visit, combining entrepreneurship advocacy, interfaith business diplomacy, and economic development, marks a significant step in the effort to elevate Pakistan’s Christian business community within the national economy — and to connect it with global networks of faith-based enterprise.

The FBS delegation was led by Swedish missionaries and entrepreneurs Bengt-Åke “B-A” Svensson and his wife Annika Svensson. Founded in 2008 by Marco Strömberg, Focus Business School is an international, Christian-based entrepreneurship institution currently operating across Scandinavia, Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Its programmes — offered both on-campus and online — focus on Biblical finance, business development, and management skills, with the explicit goal of fostering self-reliance and job creation among entrepreneurs rooted in Christian values.

The exchange highlighted the potential for collaborative efforts in capacity-building and skill development, particularly among emerging business communities. Both the FPCCI and LCCI delegations received the visiting team warmly, signalling openness to ongoing engagement with international faith-based business institutions.

CBFP: A Platform for Christian Economic Empowerment

The Christian Businessmen Fellowship Pakistan played a central facilitation role in arranging the visit, reflecting its stated mission to uplift Pakistani Christians by creating a thriving business community through national and international opportunities. CBFP President Salim Shakir led the delegation in the FPCCI meeting, with the organisation serving throughout as a bridge between the Swedish entrepreneurship school and Pakistan’s mainstream chambers of commerce.

For CBFP, the significance of the meetings extends beyond any single visit. Securing high-level engagement with institutions like the FPCCI and LCCI — which represent the mainstream of Pakistan’s organised business sector — is a meaningful step toward increasing the visibility and representation of Christian entrepreneurs within the national economy.
