Washington D.C. – Eng. Jamal Sabagh, President of the Syrian Government in Exile, has publicly lauded thinker and writer Tom Wagner for his groundbreaking book The Abrahamic Revolution: A Formula for Middle East Peace. In an open letter shared widely across social media networks and posted on Facebook, Sabagh described Wagner’s work as “a bold and inspiring vision” that could help reshape the region’s future.
Sabagh commended Wagner for going beyond traditional frameworks in addressing regional conflicts, emphasizing that the book introduces a holistic humanitarian approach rooted in shared Abrahamic values. He highlighted Wagner’s concept of “Political Abrahamism”—a collective framework centered on the sanctity of life and rejection of religiously motivated violence—as an “intellectual innovation worthy of reflection and support.”
“Your ambitious vision of an open and prosperous Middle East, based on a shared Abrahamic identity, is a powerful call to think outside traditional frames. Your work doesn’t just offer ideas, but plants seeds of real change,” Sabagh wrote in his letter.
Among the points Sabagh praised was Wagner’s balanced combination of historical, religious, and political analysis. He noted the book’s emphasis on coexistence rather than separation and cited Wagner’s use of practical examples such as the experience of Gush Etzion.
He also drew attention to Wagner’s critique of the West’s narrow focus on a two-state solution, pointing out that such an approach often neglects deeper issues, such as extremism and the persecution of minorities in the Middle East. “This represents a realistic and courageous call,” Sabagh remarked.
The letter further highlighted Wagner’s references to moderate Islam and the Qur’anic recognition of peaceful coexistence, including Prophet Muhammad’s prophecy regarding the return of the Children of Israel. According to Sabagh, these insights demonstrate a profound understanding of the region’s religious and cultural dimensions.
Tom Wagner responded with gratitude in a Facebook post, sharing Sabagh’s words with his followers:
“Head of the Syrian Government in Exile, engineer Jamal Sabah, honored today in a public letter, shared in hundreds of Facebook groups in Syria, the Abrahamic Revolution. I’m excited (really) to share his words,” Wagner wrote. Read Wagner’s full response here.
Wagner added that following this wave of encouragement from Arab readers, The Abrahamic Revolution will soon be released in an Arabic edition. He invited supporters to contribute to the translation and promotion process, noting that “all contributions will be dedicated to printing and promotion of the book in Arabic.”
Sabagh concluded his letter by urging Wagner to continue dialogue with scholars, religious leaders, and local communities in order to transform this vision into tangible reality:
“The bridge you build between peoples and religions is a noble endeavor that deserves support and admiration. Keep going, the world desperately needs such wise and courageous voices.”
With Wagner’s ideas gaining traction among Arab thinkers and diaspora leaders, The Abrahamic Revolution is emerging as more than just a book—it is becoming a rallying point for those seeking fresh, inclusive approaches to Middle East peace.
