Washington, D.C. — Last week, Empower Women Media hosted an impactful workshop in the U.S. capital focused on harnessing the power of media to combat religious persecution and hate speech.
The event, organized in collaboration with the American Muslim & Multifaith Women’s Empowerment Council (AMMWEC), brought together prominent Jewish, Muslim, and Christian leaders. Participants discussed the urgent need to amplify women’s voices and share solutions for building peaceful, multi-faith communities.
Shirin Taber, Executive Director of Empower Women Media, said the gathering underscored the role of storytelling in promoting tolerance and understanding.
The initiative continues next month with a two-day program in the United Kingdom. Scheduled for September 22–23, the event will take place at the UK Parliament and Saint Paul’s Church in Hammersmith, London.
