A Vision for Peace in the Middle East
What does the future of peace in the Middle East look like? This week, we saw it firsthand in Kafr Qasim, Israel. Read more on LinkedIn.
A delegation from the Jewish sector toured Kafr Qasim and met with the mayor and the Imam, as part of a comprehensive initiative to create Jewish-Arab meetings and an Abrahamic dialogue. This is not just a photo-op; it’s the beginning of a tangible, grassroots movement.
I am happy and proud to say that this important visit marks the beginning of a broader program, in partnership with businesswoman Ghada Zouabi, the Leap Forward community, the Or Torah Interfaith Center, and other organizations (details coming soon).
Building a Shared Future
The “Building a Shared Future” program is designed to lay the groundwork for a series of Jewish-Arab meetings between citizens of Israel, in a communal and non-political atmosphere, to create social connections and respectful dialogue. These meetings will be used to create new Abrahamic media that will remind both the Arab world and Israelis that we are cousins and can sit together and hold a dialogue in a family-like atmosphere. In my opinion, this is a big deal and a significant milestone in the emerging Abrahamic Movement.
Special thanks go to Amir Tadmor, head of the Jewish-Muslim Beit Midrash, who organized and led this important tour and is already working on the next meetings, and to Sheikh Dr. Iyad Amer, the Imam of the mosque in Kafr Qasim who hosted this complex and important meeting. Bravo!
