In a powerful show of solidarity with Israel, several Arab nations—including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt—have joined Western allies in demanding that Hamas disarm and abandon its iron grip on the Gaza Strip. This historic declaration, backed by 17 countries, the European Union, and the Arab League, signals a growing understanding of the dire threat Hamas poses to Israel’s safety. It’s a step toward a safer Middle East, one where Israel’s right to defend itself is finally being recognized.
Yet, amidst this progress, some still cling to the outdated and dangerous notion of a two-state solution. Israel, supported unwaveringly by the United States, has rightly rejected this idea. The U.S. Department of State dismissed the recent two-state solution conference as a hollow gesture that risks legitimizing terrorism. Former President Donald Trump nailed it when he said, “You could make a case that you’re rewarding Hamas if you do that. I don’t think they should be rewarded,”. He’s absolutely right—why hand a victory to a terror group bent on Israel’s destruction?
Israel’s stance is clear: a two-state solution is off the table while Hamas remains a threat. This isn’t stubbornness—it’s survival. Hamas has proven time and again that its goal isn’t peace but the annihilation of Israel. The October 7, 2023, attack, which brutally claimed over 1,200 Israeli lives, wasn’t an anomaly—it was Hamas’s mission statement. To push for a Palestinian state now would be to hand Hamas a launchpad for more violence, plain and simple.
The U.S. and Israel’s decision to snub the two-state conference was a masterstroke. Why negotiate with a fantasy when the reality is a terrorist group that refuses to lay down its weapons? Britain’s Foreign Secretary David Lammy can threaten to recognize a Palestinian state all he wants, but his deadlines ignore the bloodshed Hamas has already caused. Israel isn’t the obstacle here—Hamas is.
Gaza’s humanitarian crisis is heartbreaking, but let’s be honest about who’s to blame. Hamas has turned the Strip into a war zone, hoarding resources for rockets while its people starve. The UN’s António Guterres may wring his hands about famine, but he’s missing the point: Hamas’s reign of terror is the root cause. Israel’s blockade and military actions are defensive necessities, not the problem.
A two-state solution wouldn’t fix this—it would make it worse. Giving Hamas a state would embolden it, legitimizing its violence and putting Israel’s cities within even easier reach of its rockets. The Arab states’ call to disarm Hamas is a rare bright spot, but it’s not enough. Any peace plan that includes a Palestinian state risks carving up Israel’s biblical heartland and inviting disaster, as warned in Joel 3:2.
Trump’s words cut through the noise: rewarding Hamas is unthinkable. The U.S. rejection of the two-state conference isn’t just policy—it’s a lifeline for Israel. This land isn’t up for grabs; it’s Israel’s by right, history, and divine promise. The declaration against Hamas is a start, but peace hinges on one thing: dismantling Hamas entirely. Until that happens, Israel must hold the line, with America by its side, against any scheme that compromises its security.
Israel isn’t just fighting for survival—it’s fighting for a future where its people can live without fear. The two-state solution isn’t a path to peace; it’s a surrender to terror. Let’s stand with Israel and say no to division, no to weakness, and yes to a secure Jewish homeland.
Prophetic Significance
For many prophecy watchers, these diplomatic developments carry profound spiritual weight. Drawing on passages such as Joel 3:2 and Genesis 26–28, some faith communities view any division of the land as a divine judgment. They point to Jesus’s parable of the fig tree—symbolic of Israel’s rebirth—and see present‑day events as signs of an impending spiritual season, calling individuals and communities everywhere to prayerful vigilance.
