Ahdeya AlSayed: Lioness of Light
Shalom, Salaam, Hello – In case you’re losing hope in Muslims, Christians, Jews, Druze & people of all faiths – in humanity – PLEASE DON’T!
In a time of darkness, when two slain hostages remain held by terrorists for 783 days, leaders like Ahdeya AlSayed remind us why hope in humanity must endure. Rather than waiting until after this horrific war, Justine Zwerling and the Abraham Accords community have chosen to recognize true leaders and unsung heroes now—those who bravely stand by our side through darkness, hand in hand, day and night.
The 120 Heroes Initiative
This recognition is part of celebrating 120 Heroes and builders of the Middle East and our Globe who bring light, hope, truth, and wisdom.
Why 120? In Judaism, the number 120 means life—a full life. These heroes represent the fullness of what humanity can achieve when we choose courage over fear, unity over division.

✨ The Meaning of “Ahdeya”
Her beautiful name carries profound significance: a woman who keeps her promises, a leader, one who is praiseworthy. A name that perfectly reflects the character of the woman who bears it.
💎 Words of Wisdom
“In the short time we have on this earth, we have the profound opportunity to live with love and understanding. When we abandon the core of our humanity—our capacity for love—we sow the seeds of our own sorrow. But when we realize that differences don’t make us enemies and we truly listen, our shared humanity shines through. In the end, if you can grasp just one simple word in a sentence of ten, that one word can become the foundation on which you build rather than destroy.”
Ahdeya AlSayed represents the best of Arab journalism and leadership—a voice that refuses to be silenced by division, that speaks truth to power, and that builds bridges where others see only walls. As a former president of the Bahrain Journalists Association and a member of the Arab Women Federation’s Board of Trustees, she has used her platform to champion understanding across faiths and cultures.
🕊️ Building a New Future Together
This recognition comes from leaders in the UAE-Israel Business Council, Gulf Israel Women’s Forum, and Abraham Accords 2.0 movement—initiatives dedicated to building a new Middle East based on peace, friendship, culture, shared values, coexistence, and mutual respect.
With hearts broken by terror and global antisemitism surrounding us, the resolve to Live, Love, and Build a better future remains resolute. Leaders like Ahdeya prove that this vision is not naive—it is necessary, and it is possible.
Justine Zwerling, Sister of the Middle East and Voice of the People, speaks for many when she honors Ahdeya: “We are building a new future together, based on peace, friendship, culture, shared values, coexistence, and mutual respect.”
This is not the work of politicians or governments alone—it is the work of journalists, mothers, business leaders, and everyday citizens who refuse to let hatred define our shared future.
In an era when it has become fashionable to lose faith in dialogue, when cynicism often masquerades as sophistication, Ahdeya AlSayed stands as living proof that courage, truth, and humanity still matter. Her journalism doesn’t just report on events—it shapes hearts and minds toward understanding.
As the 64th Heroine in the 120 Heroes initiative, Ahdeya joins a distinguished community of Muslims, Christians, Jews, Druze, and people of all faiths who are actively building the future envisioned by the Abraham Accords—a future where shared humanity triumphs over ancient hatreds, where truth overcomes propaganda, and where the voices of peace are amplified above the drums of war.
