Shalom, Salaam, Hello – In case you’re losing hope in Muslims, Christians, Jews, Druze, and people of all faiths – in humanity – please don’t! سلام שלום
We chose not to wait until after this horrific war — with 48 hostages still held for 731 days — to recognize true leaders and unsung heroes. Today, we honor and celebrate our brothers and sisters of all faiths who bravely stand with us through darkness and light. Our 120 heroes — the builders of the Middle East and the world — bring light, hope, truth, and wisdom. In Judaism, the number 120 symbolizes a full and blessed life.
🎖️ Our 61st Hero: Pastor Sanggil Jang
Pastor Sanggil Jang of Songdo Jusarang Church arrived with a delegation of 300 community members from South Korea. They are funding and supporting vital projects for survivors and hostage families, bringing people back to Israel, and building bridges of love and solidarity.
His name, Sanggil Jang, embodies strength and nobility, traits tied to leadership and faith. Recently, Pastor Jang received the Friends of Zion Award from CEO Daniel Voiczek during a heartfelt ceremony at the Friends of Zion Museum, where children from his congregation sang Hatikva in Hebrew.
Despite terror, missiles, and rising antisemitism, our resolve to live, love, and build a better future remains unshaken. We are creating a new future founded on peace, friendship, culture, shared values, coexistence, and mutual respect.
Pastor Sanggil Jang — may your light, voice, and wisdom continue to shine, heal, and inspire the world. Mabrouk مبروك, Mazel Tov מזל טוב, Thank you 고맙습니다! 💙
Wishing a happy, safe, and healing Succot to all celebrating.
